Last night I worked out for 45 minutes. Ate a sensible meal- homemade without any fat used. Beef Goulash - made with 90% lean beef and vegetables/tomatoes. It was really good.
The workout was pretty good too. I actually looked forward to doing my routines. Just a little tired this morning.
Let's get through today. Busy day - busy work day. Hopefully, food won't be an issue today.
UPDATE: My family and friends are the greatest. I am so loved. Thank you everyone for your prayers and encouragement.
Ok, just a little complaint. Who invited Lean Cuisine? They should shoot the chef. There's too much sauce in the meals. That's where all the calories are. I ate the meatballs and noodles today. Why did i have only 3 damn meatballs and a cup of freaking sauce? How depressing.
A little insight. Have you ever had a love affair so strong that it had your nose open so wide you could drive a truck up it? Well that's me with food. I've had a love affair for so long with food it has dominated my life. It was my man, my lover, my confidant, my mother, father and my go-to-partner. Its an addiction worse than love, worse than drugs. Now to break this addiction, I have to change my outlook.
Like the 12 step program.
Step 1 We admitted we were powerless over food
Step 2 Came to believe that a Power greater than ourselves could restore us to sanity.
Step 3 Made a decision to turn our will and our lives over to the care of God as we understood Him.
Step 4 Made a searching and fearless moral inventory of ourselves.
Step 5 Admitted to God, to ourselves, and to another human being the exact nature of our wrongs.
Step 6 Were entirely ready to have God remove all these defects of character.
Step 7 Humbly asked Him to remove our shortcomings.
Step 8 Made a list of all persons we had harmed, and became willing to make amends to them all.
Step 9 Made direct amends to such people wherever possible, except when to do so would injure them or others.
Step 10 Continued to take personal inventory and when we were wrong promptly admitted it.
Step 11 Sought through prayer and meditation to improve our conscious contact with God as we understood Him, praying only for knowledge of His will for us and the power to carry that out.
Step 12 Having had a spiritual awakening as the result of these steps, we tried to carry this message to addicts, and to practice these principles in all our affairs.

I have decided that I need to work out more too, and eat better. I have a gym membership, but I haven't been. With the Wii at least I can work out in the privacy of my own home. I don't like the vibe at the gym sometimes.
ReplyDeleteSo, keep it up girl, you are doing great. And if you have any pearls of wisdom on quitting smoking, I could use those too. :-)
